Residential Developments:

* Meeder Community Expansion: Charter Homes & Neighborhoods is continuing to develop  Meeder which will comprise single-family homes, townhouses, lofts, and apartments. Phase 1 has been revised to include 15,000 square feet of non-residential space, 22 single-family residential lots, 137 townhouse units, 16 loft units, 15 Crossroad apartment units, and 9 live/work units.

* Crescent Development: This project is expected to comprise of 790 residential units and 9,300 sq ft of non-residential space in three phases. The construction of Phase 1A is ongoing and includes 35 single-family residential lots and 122  townhouse units.

* Breckenridge: This development to be developed along Freedom Road is planned to comprise of 117 townhouse units in four phases over approximately 17.5 acres.

Commercial Developments:

 * The Coming of Wegmans: The company has announced that it will be building its first store in the western region of Pennsylvania in the Cranberry Springs development which is near the UPMC Lemieux  Sports Complex. This addition is expected to greatly expand the retail sector of the township.

North Pointe of Cranberry: Echo Realty is constructing a mixed-use development named North Pointe of Cranberry with retail and residential uses on a 10-acre site at 20400 Route 19, near the  Streets of Cranberry.

* Dang, Poke & Boba Tea: A new place for poke bowls and bubble tea, situated at 20018 Route 19, Suite 500.

* Togyu Asian  BBQ & Bar: An Asian barbecue restaurant opening at 20111 Route 19.

*  Kyuramen Restaurant: A ramen-based restaurant preparing to open its door at 20430 Route 19,  Suite 105.

* More Indian Super Market: An Indian grocery store to be established at  20111 Route 19, Suite 302C (Cranberry Mall).

These additions show that the township has a growing concern for providing culinary and shopping choices to the residents and visitors.

Infrastructure and Planning:

 
Cranberry Township has about 20% of its land still available for development, however, the township is already preparing for balanced and sustainable development. The local government is paying much attention to the redevelopment and infrastructure adjustment to maintain the viability of the community.
